The Traneumentary: Robert Glasper
Pianist Robert Glasper is regarded as one of the most exciting players in jazz today. Robert’s approach to melodic playing, unpredictable improvisations, vast chord textures, use of space and varying rhythms are at the core of his style. He is equally at home and versed in a tradition jazz setting as well as in an R&B and hip hop group. His knack for mixing all of that up into his own brew is what makes him special.
On this Traneumentary episode, Robert talks about McCoy Tyner’s influence as well as his introduction into John Coltrane’s music.
