Lyle Mays on discovering a musical high point, forming a band and more…

In late 2015, the label SWR Jazzhaus released a live Lyle Mays concert recording taken from 1993. Recorded while on tour for his “Fictionary” release, the band consisted of Mays on Piano, bassist Marc Johnson, saxophonist Bob Sheppard and drummer Mark Walker.
