To Mrs.Blankenship, you fight for a GREAT cause.
Music is God’s way of strumming our ears, plucking our minds, and pushing our buttons and when he sees our hearts beat faster for a particuliar “mood”as Chris puts it in this podcast, it excites Him as one sees the grateful gleam in someones eye as they smile when they open a gift that they truly cherish! Mr. Davis has brought me and those around me so much JOY, and musical wealth as a listener. I love it when I listen to a good Jazz station and you’ll hear Sir Duke Ellington, and Charles Mingus, and then, without telling you, they put on Mr. Miles Davis and you just tighten your attention as he did for us. Special thanks to Mr. Chris Botti, I enjoyed his playing on his PBS special awhile back and I am truly grateful for Sting’s hand in his career.
Chris’s insight on Miles is beautiful. A perfect description of what I believe, but better said then I could ever come up with. Miles was my great teacher of taste mood and feel and I’m a drummer. Go figure.
